- In terms of SRO No.1906 (1)/2022 dated 14.I 0.2022 issued with the approval of the Federal Government, FPSC shall hold a Special CSS Competitive Examination which is to be held ONLY ONCE against vacancies which remained unfilled through CSS Competitive Examination over the last many years. For the Special CSS Competitive Examination, FPSC shall announce time table in due course. However, this Advance Public Notice is being published for awareness of candidates who may be eligible to apply as per the conditions set out in relevant Rules. Tentative dates to remember are as follows:

| Receipt of online applications from MPT Qualifiers | 19th February to 5th March, 2023 |
| Receipt of Hardcopy of online applications alongwith documents from MPT Qualifiers | Up till I5th March, 2023 |
| Written CSS Special Examination (commencement date) | 41h May, 2023 (Thursday) |
- The Special CSS Competitive Examination shall be held for following provincial/ regional quotas Therefore, candidates of only following regions/ quotas will be eligible to apply:

- CSS Competitive Examination Rules notified vide SRO No.1452(1)/2018 dated 11.2018, amended vide SRO No. 1516(()/2021 dated 27.11.2021 shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to Special CSS except following modifications inserted vide Rule 22 of the Rules ibid Published vide SRO No. I906(J)/2022 dated 14.10.2022:-

- Cut-off date to determine eligibility in terms of age, qualification, domicile shall be 31.12.2022.
- A screening test MCQs Based Preliminary test (MPT) shall be held prior to written CSS Special Qualifying the prescribed MCQs based Preliminary Test (MPT) shall be mandatory for appearing in Main Written Special CSS Competitive Examination. Fee for MPT will be Rs. 250/- (Non-Refundable).
